Privacy Policy - HeyTrill

HeyTrill (“we”, “us”) builds AI assistants for business messaging channels, including WhatsApp and Instagram. This policy explains what data our systems handle when you message a business that uses HeyTrill, or when a business connects HeyTrill to its Instagram or Facebook account.
What we access
- Messages you send to a business that uses HeyTrill (text, and basic sender identifiers provided by Meta, such as your Instagram-scoped ID or WhatsApp number).
- For connected business accounts: the account's public profile info and the permissions you explicitly grant during Meta's login flow (reading and replying to messages).
- Chats with Trill, the helper on heytrill.com: what you type, the replies, and the page you were on are saved so the HeyTrill team can read them and follow up (and any name or WhatsApp number you choose to leave). Please don't share passwords, card details or other sensitive information there.
How we use it
- To generate replies on behalf of the business you messaged, using AI language models.
- To maintain conversation context so follow-up messages make sense.
- To pass lead details (name, business, stated interest) to the business owner when you ask to be contacted.
What we never do
- We never sell your data, never use your messages to train AI models, and never message you outside the channel and conversation you started.
Subprocessors
Message content is processed by: Meta Platforms (delivery), Groq Inc. (AI reply generation), and Val Town (hosting). No other third parties receive your data.
Gupshup (a Meta Business Solution Provider) relays WhatsApp messages between a business's number and HeyTrill's assistant for some clients; it does not own the data.
Retention
Conversation history is retained for up to 12 months to maintain service quality, then deleted. Lead records are kept until the business asks us to delete them or you request deletion.
Your choices
To see, correct, or delete data we hold about you, email deepthi@heytrill.com or message the business you originally contacted. We honor deletion requests within 30 days. See heytrill.com/data-deletion for the exact steps.
